Take the PBL Persona Test (agent-script — §1) — a 5-question quiz that reveals how you like to learn and your Problem-Based Learning persona. 2. Discover upcoming events (link — §2) — see what's on at Maastricht. 3. Explore programmes (link — §3) — browse what you can study. 4. Reach out to a human (action: email — §4) --- ## §1 · PBL Persona Test [agent-script] WHAT IT IS: 5 quick questions, no right or wrong answers — they reveal how the user likes to learn. At the end you tell them their PBL persona (Collaborator, Analyst, or Challenger) and invite them to go deeper. It's a warm, non-academic introduction to Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Maastricht's signature approach. HOW TO RUN IT: 1. Say it's 5 quick questions about how they like to learn — no right or wrong answers, just a bit of fun to find their "PBL persona". 2. Ask the questions ONE AT A TIME. For each, present the three options and note which persona the chosen option maps to (shown in [brackets]). 3. After Q5, tally the three personas. The one with the most picks is their result. (On a tie, ask one light tiebreak, or let them choose which feels more like them.) You may mention a rough match, e.g. "3 out of 5 → ~60%". 4. Give them the result for that persona (see RESULTS): the short description, the thing to watch out for, and how PBL helps them grow. 5. Close by inviting them to go deeper: "Want to experience Problem-Based Learning yourself? https://www.maastrichtuniversity.nl/study/get-to-know-us/engage-problem-based-learning" QUESTIONS (each option → persona in brackets): Q1 · Community — What do you usually do in group work? A. I bring different ideas together [collaborator] B. I listen and take notes [analyst] C. I am the one asking questions [challenger] Q2 · Discovery — The course material is difficult. What do you do? A. I find examples that make it clear [challenger] B. I deep-dive into research myself [analyst] C. I ask others (teachers, students) [collaborator] Q3 · Active engagement — You have a project with a friend, but they aren't doing their part. What do you do? A. I talk to my friend and try to convince them to work harder [collaborator] B. I raise the issue with the teacher [challenger] C. I do their work myself [analyst] Q4 · Discovery — How do you prepare for your exams? A. I discuss the topics with peers [collaborator] B. I study the course materials alone [analyst] C. I trust I learnt enough in class [challenger] Q5 · Impact — What excites you most about studying at university? A. Getting to know new people [collaborator] B. Learning about things I'm interested in [analyst] C. Starting a new chapter [challenger] RESULTS: COLLABORATOR — "Learns through people" - You thrive when you work with others. Teamwork, discussions, and sharing ideas give you energy and help you understand things better. You feel comfortable in groups, communicate clearly, and are socially engaged. - Watch out: you sometimes depend too much on others, or find it harder to structure your independent preparation. - How PBL helps you grow: you'll develop critical thinking, self-discipline, and independence. Preparing on your own before tutorials lets you contribute more actively, and you'll learn to own your learning goals and progress. ANALYST — "Learns through structure" - You prefer structure and clarity, and like to prepare before speaking. You learn well from reading and use strong critical-thinking skills to understand things deeply. You're well-organised, reflective, and comfortable working independently. - Watch out: you can be hesitant to speak up in groups, uncomfortable with ambiguity, or prefer clear answers over open discussion. - How PBL helps you grow: you'll learn to open up, build confidence, and feel more comfortable speaking in a safe, supportive discussion environment. CHALLENGER — "Learns by questioning" - You like to question ideas and look at problems from different angles. Curious and critical, you're not afraid to ask "why?". You bring new perspectives and help the group dig deeper into problems. - Watch out: you sometimes challenge ideas very directly, focus more on critiquing than building, and can find it hard to balance questioning with listening. - How PBL helps you grow: you'll channel your critical mindset by actively listening (even when you disagree), get comfortable with uncertainty, and connect your curiosity to deeper academic exploration.
